What’s an Adventure Retreat?
Imagine waking up to go kayaking, freediving, canyoning or skydiving, opening your mind to adventure, excitement and a jaw dropping scenery. And then using that mindset in the afternoon to reflect, investigate and work on your personalised goals, under guidance of professional coaches.
A week full of outdoor adventures and action sports in one of the most beautiful valleys in Europe, combined with mental coaching and personal development.
That’s Adventure Retreat.
Can I join?
The short answer is: Yes.
Do you love adventure sports and are you interested in personal development or mental growth? Then this event is perfect for you.
All sports are guided by professional guides or instructors and no previous experience is needed.
Skydiving is part of the program but the event is not specifically designed for skydivers. If you don’t have a skydiving licence, you can skydive with a tandem instructor and/or you can do a different activity on one of the skydiving days.
If you are a licensed skydiver with 200+ jumps, you can join the full skydiving program. If you have fewer than 200 jumps, some of the jumps will depend on your skill and experience. The full program includes two or three half days of skydiving. This may include some organised group jumps, canopy flocking, mountain swooping and some innhopps (all depending on weather and level of the group). If your freefly level or canopy skills are not sufficient to join a specific jump, you will have the opportunity to do a jump by yourself or perhaps a 2-way with someone of your own level.

Program
The week is structured in different modules that can be moved around depending on the weather forecast. Some are half day activities like freeflying, innhopps, caving, freediving, etc, and some elements are shorter and can be planned as a morning, midday or evening session. Examples of those are slacklining, cold water plunge, yoga or meditation.
The other half of each day is spent in a small group with one of our professional coaches, working on your personal growth, development, challenges or group work. What exactly you will be working on can differ for each person and depends on your personal goals and desires. This can include communication skills, leadership, life choices, personal relationships, and lots more. On the first day the coaches will help you focus on your personal direction and setting goals for the week.
The exact activity program will be communicated when we come closer to the event but will always remain flexible and subject to change. Basically, we’re asking you to trust us: it will be good.
Location
Bovec, Slovenia
Slovenia is a spectacular country, in some ways comparable to the landscape of Norway, Switzerland or New Zealand. The Soca valley is one of the most beautiful areas in the country with the charming mountain village of Bovec sitting right on the border of the Triglav National Park. It’s surrounded by rough mountain peaks and right through the middle of it all runs the clear turquoise coloured Soca river, famed for its world class kayaking. The village is a lively outdoor sports town with plenty of little restaurants, where a meal and a drink are still affordable.
Accommodation
Accommodation is included.
We stay at a glamping campsite, right in the middle of the Soca valley. This is our base-camp where we do some of our coaching sessions and from where we head out into the outdoors for all our adventures.
When you sign up you will have 3 options:
A shared two-person glamping tent with large double bed (see photos)
A private glamping tent with large double bed (+240€)
A single basic tent
A single basic tent is a small 2p tent (130 × 210) that will be set up for you before you arrive. It includes an air mattress and sheet. You will need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow yourself.
Food
Your food is included. You can expect three healthy meals a day, as well as coffee and tea. Alcoholic drinks are not included.
Travel
All local transport will be arranged by us.
Your travel to Slovenia is not included so you need to find your own way to Bovec. Once signed up we will connect you with the other participants so you can talk about carpooling or sharing a rental car.
