Adventure | Action | Reflection | Growth

What’s an Adventure Retreat?

Imagine waking up to go freeflying, mountain swooping, caving, freediving, kayaking or canyoning, opening your mind to adventure, excitement and a jaw dropping scenery. And then using that mindset in the afternoon to reflect, investigate and grow, under guidance of professional coaches.

A week full of outdoor adventures and action sports combined with mental coaching and personal development.

That’s Adventure Retreat.

Can I join?

The short answer is yes

This first edition of Adventure Retreat is designed for skydivers and skydiving is part of the program on two or three days of the week. However, if you don’t have a skydiving licence, you can join as well and do 2 skydives with a tandem instructor during the week in stead of the normal skydiving program.

If you are a skydiver with minimum 200 jumps, you can join the full program. The program includes two or three half days of skydiving. This may include some organised freefly group jumps, canopy flocking, mountain swooping and some innhopps (all depending on weather and level of the group). If your freefly level or canopy skills are not sufficient to join a certain jump, you will have the opportunity to do a jump by yourself or perhaps a 2-way with someone of your own level.

For all the other sports and adventures during the week no previous experience is needed.

Sign up through the registration form or contact us if you have any questions.

Price

Standard package - 1735€

This first edition is a try-out and we’re not intending to make any profit. That means that this is the best price you’re ever going to get and if it’s successful enough to repeat next year, the price will go up significantly.

The standard package includes:
- 7 nights accommodation
- 3 meals a day
- 6 day outdoor sports & adventure program
- 6 days of coaching by our professional coaches
- local transport

For this first edition we have a minimum of 10 and maximum of 16 participants (max 2 groups of 8).
The program includes several different outdoor sports under professional guidance, some skydives and innhopps and varying morning and evening activities. We recommend not to focus too much on which sports or how many jumps we will do exactly, but in stead keep an open mind and look at the experience as a whole.

Program

The week is structured in different modules that can be moved around depending on the weather forecast. Some are half day activities like freeflying, mountain swooping, innhopps, caving, freediving, etc, and some elements are shorter and can be planned as a morning, midday or evening session. Examples of those are slacklining, cold water & breathwork, yoga or meditation.

The other half of each day is spent in a small group with one of our professional coaches, working on your personal growth, development, challenges or group work. What exactly you will be working on can differ for each person and depends on your personal goals and desires. This can include communication skills, leadership, life choices, personal relationships, and lots more. On the first day the coaches will help you focus on your personal direction and setting goals for the week.

The exact activity program will be communicated when we come closer to the event but will always remain flexible and subject to change. Basically, we’re asking you to trust us: it will be good.

Location

Bovec, Slovenia

Slovenia is a spectacular country, in some ways comparable to the landscape of Norway, Switzerland or New Zealand. The Soca valley is one of the most beautiful areas in the country with the charming mountain village of Bovec sitting right on the border of the Triglav National Park. It’s surrounded by mountain peaks and right through the middle of it all runs the clear turquoise coloured Soca river, famed for its world class kayaking. The village is a lively outdoor sports town with plenty of little restaurants, where a meal and a drink are still affordable.

Accommodation

Accommodation is included.

We stay in 2-person glamping tents right in the middle of the Soca valley. This is our base-camp where we do some of our coaching sessions and from where we head out into the outdoors for all our adventures.

When you sign up you will have the option to upgrade to a single tent, a tent with more luxury, or save some money by bringing your own tent.

Food

Your food is included. You can expect three healthy meals a day. More details later.

Travel

All local transport will be arranged by us but your travel to Slovenia is not included. You need to find your own way to Bovec. Once signed up we will connect you with the other participants so you can talk about carpooling or sharing a rental car.
